Sizing is not the same from one dress to the next, so the best way to choose is to measure yourself once and compare against each dress.
Measure in three places
Use a soft tape measure, wear thin clothing, and keep the tape level and snug but not tight. Write the numbers down in inches.
| Measure | Where |
|---|---|
| Bust | Around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms. |
| Waist | Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button. |
| Hips | Around the fullest part of your hips and seat, feet together. |
Compare by silhouette
- Bodycon and ruched: close to the body. Match your largest measurement to the chart; if you are between sizes, the larger size is usually the safer pick.
- A-line and flowy: fitted at the bust and waist, loose below. Match your bust and waist; hips matter less.
- Wrap and V-neck: check the bust measurement first.
- Shirt, denim and overall: often a looser cut. Check the hips and the length in the photos.
- Strapless and one-shoulder: the bust needs to fit closely to stay in place. Match your bust carefully.
